Nathalie Founder and Director of DBA
DreamsBellydance was founded in May of 2003. Nathalie Zarate the founder and organizer of DBA is a professional bellydance performer, choreographer, producer, instructor, and just recently became a book author publishing the “Bellydance Secrets Revealed E-book” . Most importantly Nathalie is a devoted and passionate dancer that continues to share her passion with others… She began her dance training at the young age of 4. Nathalie studied ballet, jazz, tango, contemporary, modern, Argentinean Folk, Flamenco, and ice skating. From an early age, Nathalie found her passion among artists, music, and dance. She found herself delighted by Middle Eastern dance and culture at the age of 14. As her dance education expanded, Nathalie became one of South Florida’s acclaimed performers and dance instructors. With her beautiful, soulful, and passionate style at the age of 19 Nathalie started teaching bellydance classes locally. After receiving so much love and dedication from her students she decided to create and produced her own dance productions. In 2003 Nathalie organized her first dance production and called it DreamsBellydance. Ever since, DreamsBellydance productions have being growing immensely. Providing quality and high scale productions, Nathalie and her dance team are one of South Florida’s favorite. Over the years, Nathalie has worked really hard to bring the BEST of Middle Eastern dance to South Florida. Even thought this is DreamsBellydance first actual location, our resume is impressive & extensive. Nathalie was the winner of the second runner up in The Miss Bellydance USA Competition 2004, in Portland Oregon, and in 2006 she was selected by the Bellydance Superstars in the auditions held in Miami. Between the years of 2005 and 2006 Nathalie was also selected to be the opening act for famous Lebanese singer Melhem Barakat and Wael Kfoury in their concert in South Florida. Nathalie was featured in many music videos and Television shows such as, Timberland’s Music Video (Indian Flute), R- Kelly’s Music video (Whine for me), MTV music Award 2005, Opening Act for the Cirque du Soleil “KA” in Las Vegas and Fox Sports awards. She has also performed for many celebrities like Shaquille O’Neil, Gloria Stefan, Emilio Stefan, Jason Taylor, Method man, Alonzo Mourning and many more. She was recently featured in a belly dance festival in Italy, she traveled intensively for 10 days througout Europe teaching and performing, as well as traveling to Asia, and South America for performances and seminars. Annemarie- Beginner & Advanced Level instructor
Annemarie is the first dancer graduated of the Dreamsbellydance Academy method of teaching, and has become an instructor at the Academy since 2010. She is one of the Dreamsbellydance Academy beginner’s , advanced levels , and open class instructor; she has been studying belly dancing under the instruction of Nathalie since she was 10 years old. Her passion for this art form has made her grow immensely as a dancer! Annemarie started performing belly dancing at the age of 12. Her diverse background in various styles of dance, like jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary, gave her the proper discipline and technique to pursue belly dancing as a full time career. She was also a proud Captain of her school cheerleading team while in high school. Annemarie is loved by all of her students, and she strives to continue providing the best for all of them. She is also a part of Dreamsbellydance Academy training team and performance team. In 2011 she won the second place title at the Miami Bellydance Convention Competition, in the Professional Category. Valerick- Beginner's & Choreography Program instructor
Valerick Molinary Started ballet, jazz and acrobatics when she was nine years old. When she was thirteen, she took her first belly dance class with Sandra Barrera who became her menthor. From that moment on, she has been fully dedicated to the study of oriental dance. At fifteen she took her first workshop with Yousry Sharif in Puerto Rico, which changed her oriental dance perspective. She has been mostly focused on Egyptian style and travels annually to New York to participate at Nourhan Sharif events. In 2007 she spent six months studying in Madrid, where she studied with Samara el Hayat. After her stay in Madrid, she traveled to Morocco and Tunisia to be part of the “Encounter of Moorish Studies” with the University of Puerto Rico. She also got the opportunity to study with outstanding Egyptian teachers such as Mahmoud Reda, Tito, Lubna, Hassan Affifi and Nervein. While making her BA, she studied modern dance with the acclaimed choreographer Petra Bravo. She completed her BA in 2009, with a major on Hispanic Studies and Comparative Literature. In September of 2009, she won the Professional Competition of the Miami Belly Dance Convention produced by Nathalie. Last year she won the People’s Choice Award and got the Second place in the Rakstar Professional competition. Valerick recently moved to South Florida to be part of the DreamsBellydance Academy family , Valerick is a proud instructor of level 1, open classes, and choreography programs! Giuliana Level 1 & Open Class Instructor
Giuliana is the NEW addition to the family of instructors at Dreamsbellydance Academy. As a former student of Nathalie, Giuliana completed all of the Dreamsbellydance Academy Level formats 1 through 5, making her graduate in December of 2011. After two years of hard training, been a part of Nathalie’s training performance team, and advanced classes, she recently started her teacher’s training program. Giuliana shadows Nathalie and all other instructors during all the classes and levels at the studio, to perfectly absorb all the information required to become a professional belly dance instructor at our Academy. Giuliana is a trained dancer with an extensive dance background in ballet, and modern dance. She strives to challenge her self through dance and absolutely loves to be a guidance to all students working with her. She still currently training for our teacher’s training program and soon will start to teach the beginner’s level formats of Dreamsbellydance Academy. Don’t miss Giuliana’s Classes in our studio!!
